National Association of Church Design Builders Names Certified Church Consultants ARLINGTON, Texas – (Jan. 16, 2009) – The National Association of Church Design Builders (NACDB), an organization that serves as a resource for the planning, design and construction of churches and church-related facilities, has awarded Certified Church Consultant (CCC) status to 17 members from across the nation. NACDB members achieve certification after completing an intensive, multi-day training program that features training sessions by nationally recognized leaders in church lending, stewardship, facilities management, architecture, construction and project management. Candidates are also required to develop a thesis that addresses a church building expansion scenario and pass a written exam. Members are originally certified for a two-year period with annual refresher courses that extend certification by another two years. Jeff Packard Richard D Poole, LLC in York, Pa. “By completing CCC training, NACDB members are given a level of expertise that sets them apart from other church construction companies,” said Tobey Van Wormer, executive director for the NACDB. “Church construction takes a special ability to not only understand the needs of churches and their congregation, but also to work with building committees whose members are often looking to their builder for guidance.” All members and associate members of the NACDB are among a select group of church designers, construction experts, and suppliers of materials and services who contribute their knowledge and learn from peers to better serve their clients.
