Frank Sommerville, JD, MPA, CPA is shareholder in the law firm of Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski & Zuber, P.C. He is also Weycer, Kaplan’s representative to Hammar & Sommerville. He is Board Certified in Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Sommerville has served nonprofit institutions of all sizes as accountant, auditor, tax advisor and advocate, litigator and legal advisor. He has presented seminars on nonprofit taxation and risk issues since 1981 for major denominations (such as the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Assemblies of God), to professional groups (National Association of Church Business Administration and the American Institute of CPAs), to universities (University of Texas and the University of Houston), and charitable organizations (United Way and Christian Management Association). His experience includes representing clergy, churches and nonprofit organizations at all levels of IRS tax controversy (from examination to courtroom) across America. He is one of the few nonprofit attorneys who actively litigates nonprofit cases in the courtroom.

Mr. Sommerville is a member of the American Bar Association (Tax and Litigation Sections), Texas Bar (Tax and Litigation Sections), American Institute of CPAs, Texas Society of CPAs, Christian Management Association and Christian Legal Society. He is admitted to practice in the Federal Courts of Texas, the United States Tax Court, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
