Chief Executive Officer
A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Phill joined the staff of TCN in June, 2000, as Director of Education. In March of 2006 he
became the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the association. In
January, 2019, he was named CEO Elect and became CEO following the 2019 Conference. Phill completed twenty-four years of service in
various positions of ministry in local churches, most recently as
Associate Pastor of Administration of First Baptist Church, Richardson,
Texas. For twelve years he served as Senior Educator/Administrator of
South Main Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. In addition, he served
First Baptist Church, Chamblee, Georgia (now John's Creek Baptist
Church), South Avondale Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, and First
Baptist Church in Richmond, Texas. (more
Director of Operations
Tammy joined the staff of The Church Network on July 8, 2003, as Administrative Associate. She grew up in Commerce, TX, where she graduated from Commerce High School with Honors and attended East Texas State University (now Texas A&M-Commerce). Following the national conference in 2019, she was named Director of Operations. Before coming to TCN, she served in churches for more than 30 years; Church on the Rock in Rockwall, TX; Forest Meadow Baptist Church in Dallas, TX; Scofield Church in Dallas, TX; and The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson, TX. She also worked in the Statistics Department at Interstate Batteries in Dallas, TX. Tammy & her husband, Mike are members of First Baptist Church in Commerce where she serves on the Praise Team and several committees.
Director of Events and Publications
Ernestine first joined The Church Network as education associate on September 10, 2001, and became conference manager when the position was created in 2006. In July 2019, she was named director of events and publications. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in drama and English from Hardin-Simmons University and a Master of Arts in humanities from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her employment background includes executive assistant to vice presidents, secondary teacher, community college instructor, school registrar, travel planner, and president of various organizations. A long-time active member of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, she sings in the Sanctuary Choir and serves in the children’s ministry. She and her late husband Nat first joined the congregation before they married there in 1978.
Darby joined TCN in the fall of 2019 as their engagement coordinator. She grew up attending a nondenominational church in West Tennessee where she was involved volunteering with the youth and worship department. Her studies brought her to Dallas in earlier 2017, graduating that following spring with a Bachelor’s of Applied Arts in Music Business and Marketing from Visible Music College. She worked as a Barista in Dallas and served as a Ministry intern for Tyler Street where she has been a member of since 2018. Now she is involved as a leader in Tyler Street’s young adult’s ministry and active member of their communications team.
